- Invited by the Presidency of the European Union, Ron Lunau gave a lecture to the Economic and Commercial representatives of the European Union countries on public procurement in Canada on March 10, 2010.
- February 16, 2010 - Canada-U.S. Agreement on Buy American
The U.S. has waived the Buy American provisions in an agreement signed by Canada and the U.S in February 2010. Canadian suppliers now have access to state and local public works projects under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for infrastructure projects.

- The Supreme Court of Canada has granted leave to appeal a decision of the Federal Court of Appeal relating to the issue of whether a complainant must be a Canadian supplier to file a complaint under the Agreement on Internal Trade at the CITT (Northrop Grumman v. A-G (Canada) et al., No.32752).
- In the Speech from the Throne on November 19, 2008, the Government of Canada indicated that "fixing procurement will be a top priority", with a focus on having "simpler and streamlined processes".
